Frequently Asked Questions

How many files can I merge at once?

There's no hard limit — you can merge dozens of PDF files in one go. The practical limit depends on your browser's available memory. Typically, several dozen regular documents process without any issues.

Does merging or splitting PDF reduce quality?

No. Merging, splitting, and rotating don't re-encode content — pages are copied as-is, preserving fonts, images, and hyperlinks exactly as they were in the original.

Can I reorder pages before merging?

Yes. Drag files into the order you want before clicking Merge. To rearrange individual pages within a single document, use the Organize PDF tool.

Do I need to install software to organize PDFs?

No installation required. All tools run directly in your web browser on any operating system — Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS.

Can I split a PDF by bookmarks or chapters?

You can specify custom page ranges — for example, "1-5, 6-12, 13-20" — and each range becomes a separate PDF file. Splitting by named bookmarks automatically is not currently supported.
